Chilean Music
Introduction:
Chile in South America is world renowned for its folklore music and broadly
falls into three different geographical zones namely central, northern and
southern. The folklore from each zone has its own characteristics as well as
sounds. The folk music of the Central zone is very famous in Chile.
The whole of Northern Chile was the main centre of culture and
music in the very ancient Tahuantinsuvu or the Inca Empire and later on it

The main difference between the Cueca and the Tonada is that there is an intermediate harmonious section or a more prominent tune in general in the Cueca and the Tonada is never danced.
Several musical groups took to Tonada as their major form of expression. Many other composers boosted up folkloric music that have done immense research in their respective areas as well as Latin American music.

Vincente Bianchi Alarcon is also an accomplished Chilean music composer,
director and pianist.
Traditional Folklore:
