Sardinian Music
Sardinia is known as the most religious and traditional of all religious in
Italy. Sardinia is also very well known for their music that is so melodious and
sweet. Sardinia is well known for most wonderful songs and holy songs. They had
a very old instrument that consisted of only three pipes which was played by
putting all the three pipes in the mouth together. It was blown with the mouth
simultaneously in a circular motion..
The instrument hauneddas was very famous in the eighth century BC. It was
very difficult in playing music with the hauneddas, as lot of breathing was
required while using this instrument. This musical instrument had received
attention internationally also. This instrument is still played the music
during many traditional occasions and celebrations.
Many hauneddas musicians were from the south of many island in villages like
Villaputza and many in the sub regions named Samatzai, Oristano, Ovaddo and
Nuoro. These instruments were played using different types of melodious
songs. Because of their way of breathing in a circular motion, each song
almost used to last for more than 60 minutes.
Cantu a chittera was another instrument that was used in the traditional
singing and the guitar accomplished it. This instrument was also there in
Sardinia and the famous performers like Luigiru Cossu, Maria Carta, played
this kind of instrument. Even today a famous musician Franco Denanni plays
this instrument.
He is a well-known performer in the north and west places of Logndoro close
to the region of Sarsari and also in the north and east places of Gallura.
Rural polyphonic singings known as a long division poem that is sung with
various musical instruments. The vocal parts are the guitar that was in the
middle then the Octave that was the counter and then the leader instrument.
The famous groups were Tenores di Bitti. In the year 2005 in the month of
November a famous Sardinian Culture performed in the singing style of Tenore
and were known as the a very famous peace of the Traditional and Untouchable
part of the ancient classes.
There were many activities related to music and theatre in which the
instrument like the Orchestra of Association of Cagliare was played for the
people. The other musical theatre namely the Roman building was also used
for summer festivals and ceremonies that were celebrated outdoor.

traditional instruments of Sardinia in the land of Tadasuni. Sardinia is
known as the rich musical heritage. It has the collection of traditional
music that spread across the world. The musicians were not very melodious
and so they joined together in singing a song to make the music more
melodious.
Songs are dining more often in polyphony than in solo. There were excellent
instruments like pipes and drones which gave the music so beautifully that
even not very good singing was covered with these instruments. The
performers heard here are well known on the island, but heard very little
about then outside Italy.
